This video was made for Lidl’s Christmas 2015 social media campaign. After a brief intro, a series of ‘bad presents’ would rapidly scroll by, including humorous ‘bad responses’ and ‘good responses’ but far too fast to read. By hitting pause you’d randomly stop on one and be able to read it. This would loop for approximately a minute before the branding came in for the outro along with an invitation to check out the next part of the campaign.
This was a very short turnaround piece. All the drawing and some of the text were done with a chalk brush in Photoshop and all the layout (including the non-drawn text) and animation was done in After Effects.
